A support for the body’s natural defence systems with Ashwagandha, used traditionally for support following recovery from illness.

Useful in any dog with long term disease, elderly, or needing a general boost.
Using high levels of anti-oxidants and adaptogenic herbs to aid immune system function and nutrient levels.

Composition: Nettle, Dandelion, Echinacea, Ginkgo, Chamomile, Bilberry, Hawthorn, Ashwagandha, Milk thistle, Turmeric

Nettle leaves (Urtica dioica) – Anti-inflammatory, diuretic, nutritive, anti-diarrhoeal, high levels of flavonoids. Shown in studies to aid in arthritis treatment, allergies and renal disease.
Dandelion (taraxacum officinale) – Diuretic, cholagogue (improves bile function and flow), digestive tonic.
Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea) – Alternative (gradually changes the body’s set point to allow balance), immunostimulant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, local anaesthetic (topically), vulnerary (healing), carminative (gut calming).
Ginkgo (ginkgo biloba) – Anti-inflammatory, cognitive enhancer, circulatory protectant, inhibits the effects of stress-induced cortisol hypersecretion.
Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) – Carminative, spasmolytic, mild sedative, cholagogue, antiallergic, anti-inflammatory, healing.
Bilberry (Vacciniummyrtillus)Vasoprotective – antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, astringent, antioedema.
Hawthorn berries (Crataegus monogyna) – Cardiotonic, diuretic, astringent, cholesterol-lowering.
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) – Tonic, adaptogen, nervine, sedative, anti-inflammatory, anodyne (pain relieving), immunomodulatory, antioxidant, thyroid modulating, chemoprotective.
Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) – Hepatoprotective, demulcent, cholagogue, antioxidant, potentially anticancer. Used for treatment of hepatic disease including toxic insult.
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) – Anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-platelet (reduction of abnormal clotting), hepatoprotective, anticancer.

Contraindications
Ginkgo biloba should not be used in patients with known bleeding disorders.
