A natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant that can be used for joint, skin and digestive problems.
Also known as Golden Spice not only for its colouring but for its potent health benefits. The active ingredient in Turmeric is curcumin; a compound found in many plant foods that fights inflammation and oxidative stress in the body. Turmeric can support dog’s joint health and pain management related to arthritis, injury, or infection in the joints.
- Fights inflammation
- Supports dog’s joint health
- Supports arthritis or joint injury
- Aids pain management
Turmeric is a natural alternative to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which can cause gastrointestinal upset in some dogs.
Numerous studies – like those published in Veterinary Immunology and Immunopathology in 2012 and the Italian Journal of Animal Science in 2009 – suggest that using Turmeric for dogs can help with joint pain and stiffness.
How to feed Turmeric for dogs
Ideally dissolve Turmeric powder with warm water before adding to food. Add black pepper and oil/fats to Turmeric as the best way to increase Turmeric absorption.
